Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, USA

Lynnewood Hall is a 110-room Neoclassical Revival mansion in Elkins Park, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Vacant today, it was designed by architect Horace Trumbauer for industrialist Peter A. B. Widener and built between 1897 and 1900. [source: Wikipedia] I’m told the nearby Elkins Mansion is being developed as a high-end hotel/event center, so I hold out hope that this once grand estate might also be preserved. #architecturaltourist #thearchitecturaltourist #architecture #architecturephotography #architectures #architectuur #architektur #oldhouse #oldhouselove #oldhouses #historicalhouses #historichouse #loveoldhouses #pennsylvaniahistory #lynnewoodhall #lynnewoodhallmansion #elkinspark #elkinsparkpa #neoclassical #neoclasscialarchitecture #beauxarts #beauxartsarchitecture #columns #grandestate #deservetopreserve #deserve2preserve #adaptivereuse #horacetrumbauer #trumbauer @lynnewood_hall #abandonedplaces
