Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, USA

Irem Temple (1908). Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, USA. While built in a mosque form, this is not an Islamic religious building. It was built as a Shriners auditorium for a local Masonic group, in the Moorish Revival style. After years of abandonment, there is currently an effort to restore the building to its original grandeur. #architecturaltourist #thearchitecturaltourist #architecture #architecturephotography #travelphotography #travelphoto #loveoldhouses #historicdistrict #historicproperties #lovearchitecture #traditionalarchitecture #pennsylvania #pennsylvaniaphotographer #nationalregisterofhistoricplaces #masonictemple #masons #freemason #wilkesbarre #wilkesbarrepa #luzernecounty #luzernecountypa #iremtemple #iremtemplemosque #mosque #moorishrevival #moorishrevivalarchitecture #islamicarchitecture #deserve2preserve #abandonedbuilding #shriners
